Absolutely Alice Functions and Events
Absolutely Alice is the functions and events division of the Road Transport Historical Society Inc., in Alice Springs, Australia. This group is responsible for the operations of the fabulous National  Road Transport Hall of Fame, the Old Ghan Train Railway Museum and the magnificent Kenworth  Dealer Truck Museum. These three great museums collectively make up the most comprehensive  land transport museum in the southern hemisphere. There are several venues on site where  functions and events can be staged, each with its own unique characteristic. Whether you are looking for a bush breakfast for six or a sit down buffet for 500 we have a venue and a budget to suit.

Stuarts Bush Kitchen
Set in the grounds of the National Road Transport Hall of Fame, just five kilometres from Alice Springs, Stuarts Bush Kitchen is the ideal venue for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Serviced by our "Piston Broke" bar and the "Roadkill Cafe we are set up to cater for groups of any size with catering options to suit any budget however we are famous for our camp-oven nights where you can enjoy camel curry, beef stew and kangaroo rissoles served with weber paked potatoes and a choice of vegetables or salad. Also very popular is our Outback BBQ special where juicy grilled rump steak is on the menu. Of course, billy tea and bush coffee is all part of the deal and we don't even charge for for our spectacular night skies and glorious sunsets. If that's not enough, all functions come with a guided tour of our museums and a choice of entertainment.

Cameleers Garden at the Ghan Legends Museum
Whether you look at road or rail history in the outback camels were there first servicing the freight task of remote communities and isolated pastoral properties long before the advent of the horseless carriage or motorised transport. Set on the lawns of the Old Ghan train museum the Cameleers Garden is a spectacular setting for an outdoor function during the day or the evening. Many brides choose our pergola for their wedding. The Cameleers garden was set up as a tribute to the 'Afghan' cameleers after whom the legendary Old Ghan Train is named. Interestingly most weren't actually Afghans!  The Gardens, boasts several date palms, an open air bird aviary, a small playground and a Tiny Toots play area making it the ideal venue for family functions. It truly is an oasis in the desert.
