Located on a large monument at the administration building of Nolan's Interstate Transport depot in Gatton, QLD are the words:

"In pursuit of excellence, with pride and professionalism"

This statement encapsulates the philosophy of Terry and Daphne Nolan, owners of Nolan's Interstate Transport, one of the largest family operated transport companies in Queensland.

It is through a solid commitment to the road transport industry that Nolans has survived trying times of economical instability, droughts and floods to prosper, becoming one of the largest transport companies in QLD employing more that 165 locals.

It all began in the 1900s with one man, one horse and one cart.  The business was owned and operated by Robert Hawck, who together with his son George, delivered cream, milk and wood throughout the Lockyer Valley Region.

Three generations later the pride and professionalism of Terry and Daph are portrayed through the operations of their depot, the loyalty and friendship they show their staff and associates and in the condition of their modern fleet of Kenworth and Volvo trucks as they operate throughout the eastern seaboard of Australia.

The modern fleet of equipment exceeds 230 units including in excess of 100 interstate vehicles.  It is well known for its high quality service which specialises in the transportation and distribution of general freight and perishables from the Lockyer Vally region to the various markets around Australia.  Hard work and loyal staff have built Nolan's Transport into the company it is today with the professional status it enjoys and deserves throughout Australia.

Terry and Daph remain quiet achievers in light of their accomplishments and are very private, humble people, never placing themselves in the public eye.  They have often quietly, without fuss and bother, stepped it to assist some-one in need and work hard to attract young people into this industry.  Their committment to the transport industry is testament of their character and personality.  They are deserving of this honour.
