Inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame at ReUnion 2010.

Born in Essendon in 1938 Geoffrey moved to Donnybrook soon after. After 27 years of living on the family farm “Carinyah” he married Claudia and they have a daughter Fiona.

At eighteen Geoffrey bought his first truck, a Thames Trader tray truck, in Rockbank, but he soon upgraded to a more powerful 1958 Bedford which he bought in Woodend.

In those early days he carted hay during the drought to Coonabarabran, Bega and scone in his stock crates and carried weak cattle from drought stricken areas to greener pastures. His first semi-trailer was another Thames Trader which he used as a car carrier to haul interstate once he got it running properly. Within an hour of buying it the engine failed at Whites Corner in Doncaster and there is sat for several days.

He later added a stock crate and hauled livestock from Donnybrook to Newmarket five days a week. Over the years he kept an International and dog trailer on  the go; even when they were running a motel in Carrum or their farm in Althorpe. In recent years Geoffrey has bought a property at Bundalong near Yarrawonga where he fosters his interest in both Studebaker cars and late models trucks. In his 70s Geoffrey still carts cattle to Wangaratta or Wodonga and elsewhere if he gets the chance.
