Shane White was born on the 7th June 1960 at Miles Queensland. It was inevitable that Shane would have an involvement in the transport industry as he spent the first six years of his boyhood living at Wandoan where his parents had a sawmill and a transport depot. They then moved to Fog Creek station in the Richmond district.
In February 1980 at the age of 19 Shane bought a second-hand UD body truck and dog trailer with stock crates. This started an association with the transport industry, which is still ongoing today.
In 1988 Shane married Ronda, a local girl. They bought their first new truck that year, a Mack 500 Superliner. Shane did a variety of freight including cattle and molasses. He even spent a couple of years running to the Northern Territory with stockfeed and rolls of paper for the newspapers. In 1993 Shane took over a local overnight parcel delivery service and mail run, servicing the locals in town and on the stations.
In 1998 Shane sold the business and with Ronda and his two daughters (Shannon and Ashton) he moved to Dimbulah and for the first time since starting in transport he operated for somebody else. Doing various things from driving semi tippers at Kajabbi to a water truck in Croydon.
After four years of driving roadtrains into Aurukun Aboriginal Mission Shane decided he wanted to be his own boss again. In 2004 a second-hand Mack 350 Valueliner, The Loaded Dog was purchased and Shane went carting logs to the Charters Towers sawmill.
Shane saw an opportunity to service the Gulf Region and started doing a regular run carrying stockfeed and hay to the Georgetown, Croydon and Normanton area.
Slowly building up his business Shane made the decision to buy a bigger truck. His faithful The Loaded Dog was replaced by The Mistress, a brand new 2007 Mack 470 Fleetliner. The business was doing well so a second truck and driver became a reality.
Currently Shane drives a 2005 Mack 600 Titan Busted & Broke, while a driver operates The Mistress.
