Trevor Bramstedt

Inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame in 2019.

TREVOR RAYMOND BRAMSTEDT (BRAMMY) was born in October 1959 in Warragul, Victoria. Trevor spent many days and nights as a child in the truck with father Allan, so it was inevitable that as soon as he turned 18 and 3 months in 1977, a letter was written and Trevor was given his truck licence. He would follow in this father's footsteps and start driving for the family business with father Allan and mother Joan which had begun in 1966.

With Trevor's young and enthusiastic ideas he took the business strongly into the 20th and 21st Centuries, travelling further around Victoria and interstate, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. The fleet was built up from the original tray truck to a cabover Kenworth in 1978 and various international semis. In 1982 the first three deck stock crate arrived and then in 1988 a four deck crate. A few of the other trucks over the years were a red Louisville, 1983 Kenworth cabover, 1985 Atkinson 892 motor and a 1993 Transtar that was crashed in 1977. The year 1998 saw the first T950 Kenworth arrive. Sadly it burnt in the yard in 2006 and was replaced with a Titan Mack. In 2001 the first B-Double joined the fleet and a second T950 in 2004 and in 2012 a Westernstar was purchased. In 2016 the family run business in its 50th year purchased a Kenworth Anniversary T950 No. 27 as a momento for such a milestone. There is also currently a Kenworth 200 in the fleet.

In 1986 Trevor's father Allan suffered a heart attack and was required to step down from a lot of his duties, leaving Trevor to run the business. Trevor thrived on the opportunity. One of his many accomplishments was in December 2014, after two years of planning, he got approval for the first PBS registered livestock vehicle in Australia, fondly nicknamed 'The Lego Truck'.

After Trevor's father Allan passed away in 2009, the business continued to grow. In 2017 Trevor and Tracey's two sons, Daniel and Taylor, became partners in the family run business. The current fleet consists of two B-Doubles, a four deck, a semi and The Lego Truck, two Trucks and three tray trucks.
