Norman Clark
Inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame at ReUnion 2011.
Norman Clark was born in South Grafton on 27th June 1931. In 1950, the first truck he drove was a 1940 Dodge Tipper driving for W.B.Carr in Rozzelle, Sydney.
In 1952, he went to Tamworth and drove a KB7 table top for Carey Brothers and was one of their original drivers. In 1956, he drove for Harold Symington, firstly in a 180 Inter with a bogie trailer, then a new 630 Diamond from Toowoomba QLD., to Adelaide carting Southern Cross, and returning David Shearer for Bevan Manglesdorf.He married in 1960 and then, in 1964, purchased a secondhand B61 Mack and pulled Western TPT Trailers. He bought a new B61 which was sold in 1967.He returned to Grafton and drove a Louie tipper for the shire until he retired.
