Winston Trevor De Ville was born on the 27th March 1949 in Sydney, New south Wales. In 1965 in Palmerston North New Zealand while Trevor was at boarding school, unbeknown to the college, Trevor worked at night loading a truck for a market gardener. He taught Trevor how to drive a 1946 Bedford tray truck. Trevor then realised that this is what he wanted to do.

In 1966 Trevor moved back to Sydney and started work driving heavy rigids local and around Sydney for a variety of companies before graduating to long distance. When Trevor got his articulated licence, he got a job driving interstate for Sedgemoor Transport in a Commer Knocker mostly from Sydney to Melbourne return.

On the 27th January 1974, Trevor married Ingrid. He was working for Jonior Transport doing a mine run from Sydney to north west of Western Australia carrying mine supplies to most of the iron ore mines. In 1976 Trevor moved to Townsville and worked for Norgate Transport (Ma Battle) doing the milk run to Malanda and hanging meat from Cape River. He also drove road trains to Mt Isa.

In 1980 Trevor worked for Malley's Transport in Tully. This was local work bringing banana cartons to the depot. He did other local work for a number of years driving tippers and some interstate. Trevor carried the last load of bananas on a flat tray into Perth in 1991. He also worked a couple of cane seasons carting sugar cane from the Tablelands to the South Johnston Mill.

At the end of 1999 Trevor went to Cloncurry driving the Icons for Bruce McIver from Cannington to the Yerbi rail facility. When he came back to the coast in 2000, he worked for Greyhound then McCafferty's until the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers on 9/11. Trevor then drove for Hawkins Road Transport for approximately six months in 2003 and 2004.

In 2004 Trevor worked for Tuxworth & Wood in Cairns doing a supply run to Normanton and Karumba in either a B-double or a roadtrain returning to Cairns with frozen fish and live crabs. He then went back out to Mt Isa driving for Kieran's Transport in triple side loaders. In 2004 Trevor moved back from Mt Isa and worked carting logs from Kennedy to the Townsville port. He then worked for Gary Nicolson till the beginning of 2013 driving a B-double taking banana cartons from Townsville to the banana farms. The contract wasn't renewed so Trevor started with Blenner's Transport in Tully where he is currently working. He is driving a B-double from Tully to Townsville or Cairns and the Tablelands.

Trevor has worked in the transport industry for 50 years and would like to put in a couple more before he retires.
