Inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame at Re Union 2005.
The managing director of the Queensland-based Frasers Livestock Transport, Ross Fraser, has overseen development of the family company to an Australia-wide operation. Fraser's green and gold livery can be seen on highways and byways, moving livestock between properties and sale yards, feedlots, abattoirs and ports.
A key figure in transport industry associations, Ross Fraser was a founding member of the Livestock Transport Association of Queensland (LTAQ) and the Australian Livestock Transport Association (ALTA) serving terms as president, secretary and treasurer of both associations. He represented the livestock sector on the council of the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) before being appointed to its Board of Management. Ross Fraser was chairman of the Australian Trucking Association from 2004 to 2006 working tirelessly during that time for the betterment of the industry from a regulatory and jurisdictional perspective, something the family is committed to assisting the industry on a national level.
Carrying on the business started by their parents Charlie and Edna Fraser back in the early part of the last century, the principals of Fraser Transport today are brothers Ross, Les and Peter Fraser, all of whom have proven that they really do have diesel in their blood, just as their dear old dad did a generation before.
