During the mid 1970s George started with Northern Transport carting freight, fuel and relocating drilling rigs for Ian Lovegrove, Ivan Wiese and Ted Smith. In the late 1070s. His company was contracted to Toll carting mainly freight, fridge pans and dry freight pans from Adelaide to Alice Springs through to Darwin. George's first truck was a C500 Kenworth he then went on to own a fleet of cabover Kenworths and Volvo's.
Sadly there is little information on George's date of birth and death and his immediate family. George was married Karen and together they had a daughter named Tanya. Tragically Tanya passed away in her teenage years. George and Karen remained living in Alice Springs for some time after the death of their daughter. Both George and Karen passed away within six months of each other, dates unknown.
