History of this Vehicle:
The Ferguson TE-35 began production in grey-and-gold paint with Ferguson badging. The paint changed to red and grey in late 1957 but the Ferguson decals remained.
The TE in the name designated it was ‘Tractor England’, meaning it was built in England to differentiate it from those that were built in Ferguson’s new Detroit factory. Those tractors were given the model names TO, meaning ‘Tractor Overseas’. The numbers in the model name specify the horsepower of the tractor.
Although the companies of Massey-Harris and Harry Ferguson Ltd, merged into Massey-Harris-Ferguson Ltd in 1953, they continued building seperately for a number of years. It was 1958 before the company changed its name to Massey-Ferguson Ltd.
