John Heggart

Inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame at ReUnion 2010.

John Heggart has over 40 years experience in the Transport & Logistics Industry. John followed his father Joe's footsteps in the late 60s to pursue a career in transport and has owned many trucks and trailers over the years. In the late 80s John stepped away from the driving side of the industry and accepted a position with Intermodal based in Morwell in operations and became branch manager. John controlled local and interstate trucks, and gained valuable experience from this.
Into the 90s John and 2 partners started their own transport company. They started with full rig sub-contractors and then purchased a number of single trailers. They started two hauliers with the business. In 2000, John and wife Lisa started John Heggart Transport, initially with 5 single trailers. Over the years the single trailers have been phased out being replaced by 9 sets of B-double trailers. John has also purchased 2 new Western Stars to add to the fleet.
