History of this Vehicle:

Joe Carbone purchased this AR160 in 1955 for £1600 when it was brand new. He personally drove the truck for the next two to three years and it was the backbone in establishing his family transport business.

The truck was used from 1955 to 1974 for local produce pickup in the Sunraysia district. Later it was used for transporting product to the Queen Victoria Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Markets in Melbourne, some 360 miles away.

Joe also drove the vehicle on a number of occasions to Sydney. The International AR160 was a reliable, low maintenance truck which travelled in excess of one million miles.
