Basil Jarman

Inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame at Reunion 2011.
Basil Jarman has been known to our business since its inception in 1975. He has remained a loyal and valued customer to both our business and the Mercedes Benz products until he sold and retired in 2000. After Basil sold his business and supposedly retired, he has been employed by Mavin Truck Centre where he has been an integral part of our sales department.
This includes the delivery of new and used trucks to our customers and the transporting of trucks between body builders. He still shows the same care and professionalism he showed whilst operating his own business even now that he has reached the age 75.Basil is well known for his care, kindness and consideration to other truck operators he met up with whilst running his interstate trucking business. This has carried on in the local community with his tireless work over many years to benefit members and their families of the North Coast Trucking Social Club, especially in their time of need.Mavin Truck Centre has been awarded Daimler Regional Dealer of the Year for 2008, 2009, 2010 and Hino Regional Truck Dealer for 2010. Basil's experience and customer relations have contributed towards this success as he is still extremely valued in the local trucking industry. Although retired from his own business, the passion for the industry still drives him, and together with our sales managers, they have delivered over the last seven years 155 new trucks and 20 used trucks.
