Arthur Kreskas

ARTHUR KRESKAS was born in Ethnikon Greece in 1935. He migrated to Australia at the age of four just before the onset of World War Two. As a youngster he worked in the family orchard where he gained a solid work ethic and head for business. Seeing an opportunity in road transport Arthur began carrying fresh fruit and vegetables between Shepparton and the Footscray Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable market in Melbourne in 1968. He started off with a 1957 Dodge Tray truck. Arthur has always been a firm believer in customer service and is committed to treating his customer's business like his own. Today the company runs a fleet of state of the art Kenworth trucks.

Today Arthur's sons Les and John continue his legacy and with the co-operative efforts of all employees continue to provide the best possible service to their clients. They provide consistent service at the highest level and with the latest in equipment and innovation. Kreskas Bros has enjoyed continual growth and today in 2017 has gone on to become the leading carrier of import and export shipping containers between the Goulburn Valley and the Port of Melbourne.

The Head Office in Lemnos just east of Shepparton houses a truck yard, container yard, modern workshop, administration and operations building as well as machine shop and an AQIS registered KB Storage facility offering pack and unpack of shipping containers. Kreskas also offers refrigerated and ambient storage.

In 2017 Arthur is now 82. His success has come from his persistence in taking up opportunities and his hardworking and persevering attitude. Arthur and his brother George developed a strong family partnership and together they are recognised for their achievements and commitment to the industry and community. Arthur and George are true road transport pioneers in every sense. REUNION 2017
