Inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame at Reunion 2010.
Sandy Nash was born on the l7th October, 1950 at the Moree Hospital. He was the youngest of 8 children. Sandy attended school at the Gurley Public School until it closed. He then moved to Moree High School where he attended until the age of 15 years.
Sandy had always had a fascination with the transport industry as his father transported wool for many years by bullock team and progressed to trucks. After leaving school Sandy worked in the Gurley area as a farmhand driving tractors etc.
Sandy moved to the transport industry in partnership with his brother Edward (Ted) Nash which was established in 1972 after his father's death. Sandy started his transport career carting stock around the district with and for Tramby and Hanks Stock and Station Agents at Gurley.
Sandy and his brother Ted moved into the general freight business several years later when the Nash Bros. transport business moved its operation from Gurley to Moree. Sadly after Ted Nash passed away at a young age Sandy was left to run the business as Nash Logistics and his son Glen has become the director of the business and the start of the next generation in the transport game.
The business now has a fleet of seven prime-movers, 13 body trucks and 5 utes. There are 4 depot locations extending from Brisbane to Moree and sub-depots in many locations as well.
