BRIAN HENRY MULDOON ( Mully) was born in Perth Western Australia in June 1944 and was educated in Tocumwal NSW and in Mentone Victoria after his family decided to move interstate. Morrison-Knudsen was an American civil engineering and construction company, with headquarters in Boise, Idaho. He worked for Tom Menhennit driving a Commer knocker fitted with the iconic TS3 and also drove for Jim Irvine carting cement. He worked for various transport companies including Finemores, Eastoes, East Coast, Mayne Nickless, Ken Stewart, ID Transport, Wettenalls and Harleys Transport of Finley. Brian later moved back to Western Australia to work for Dowling Transport carting stores to stations up north an carting wool back to Perth. In later years Brian also did a stint in the Northern Territory working for his nephew carting silage on Tipperary station. He also did some grader driving for his brother John.
Over the next forty years Brian Muldoon became a much loved and well known character of the highway. He loved driving the open road, catching up with his mates at roadhouses and never failed to give someone a hand along the way.
