Warren Richardson

Warren Richardson was born in NZ in 1951 and grew up in his father's workshop, two doors from the family home. He commenced his motor engineering apprenticeship with his father at 15. The workshop was in an outer suburb of Hamilton in the Waikato region of the North Island a predominantly farming area. His dad, Noel had been an aircraft mechanic during WW2 and was known to be able to fix anything. Their core business was repairing cars but they also repaired farm machinery and Bedford trucks.

To further his horizons Warren moved to the Northern Territory in 1976 working at Agriculture Services fixing all things Toyota, where his love of trucking began. He later spent time on his mate's property in Far North Queensland repairing farm equipment and their trucks. Even today he loves nothing better than getting up to the property where they now grow bananas to spend time working with his mate on their machinery. He services their roadtrains when they come through Brisbane.

Warren settled in Brisbane where he worked for Arnott's Biscuits in Virginia for 14 years repairing delivery trucks and the Intercentre Transport B-doubles as well as firm and staff vehicles. When Arnott's closed down their transport division in 1993 Warren set up a truck repair division in Australian Diversified Engineering's workshops and continued to repair Arnott's vehicles until the contract was outsourced to Linfox.

Warren has built both a huge knowledge of trucks and the industry. He is so well respected by local firms and carriers in Brisbane that when he moved workshops in recent years all his clients followed him. He is always prepared to take on a challenge and is highly respected for his customer service and the time he will give his clients to ensure a job well done. His motto is to put yourself in your customer's shoes and handle any problems from that perspective. Amongst the many fleets that Warren manages are Energex and Australia Post. Warren is a firm believer in providing for the future, and happily trains apprentices. He goes above and beyond to ensure customer service.
